Our church has had the www.r-church.com internet site since 1999. It has fairly current bulletins, monthly calendars, and newsletters. Other than that, we have not been changing pictures / graphics, layout, and copy very much.
Are there people interested in and think it would be fun to bring our church’s web site more alive? Please contact Charles Kendall: webmaster@r-church.com

Picture, audio, and/or video files of church services could be put on line.
People could tell why they come to our church.
Activities in our church could be described and promoted with words and pictures.
Public and/or private on-line discussions on Bible, prayer, faith, mission, etc could be set-up.
Hopefully there are interested people who are up on the most current technical details as well as those who want to learn and do more with this.
Although most of the efforts could be done on line w/o meeting, the goal is to have people meet and work with other people with this common interest on a regular basis.
There can be a mix of people, some only online and others meeting regularly. Some of the talent may not be local.
This could be a fellowship group with common goals of : 1. Getting to better know and learn from others with similar interests. 2. Bringing new people into our church while helping them quickly feel "at home". 3. Showcase the many smaller groups in our church. 4. Encourage new groups so everyone can find their place of "belonging" in our church.
We are “a community of believers, called by God, led by the Holy Spirit to know Christ and to make Christ known”.
This is one of our member's contribution! FAITH !

Stewardship Campaign PowerPoint presented by Erin Cox-Holmes
Stewards are not beneficiaries - others are.
Stewards do not give because they happen to have enough to give.
Stewards have received what they have for the very purpose of giving it away.
"No surer rule and no more valid exhortation .. could be devised than when we are taught that all the gifts we possess have been bestowed by God and entrusted to us on condition that they be distributed for our neighbor's benefit." (John Calvin, The Institutes of the Christian Religion, 3.6.5)

He goes on to say that since there is no way we can increase God's possessions, the way we extend generosity toward God is by practicing it toward the saints on earth.

"God Cares and So Do We"

GOD CARES and SO DO WE!

Evangelism is a very important ministry in the life of any church and it does not just happen. Evangelism is a lifestyle that needs to be lived, preached, taught, and believed by a congregation. It is a ministry of mission and sharing the redemptive love of God in Jesus Christ.

We hope you take notice of our church logo which we have included on this page. It is important for our congregation to have a clear identity. The rays on the logo represent the Holy Spirit, moving out into the world, and will guide us in this most important task in the new millennium. The outstretched joining hands represent our caring for others.

Evangelism is . . . joyfully sharing the good news of the sovereign love of God. (Definition adopted by the 202nd General Assembly, 1990)
